About OmniCharting

A free, no-code charting & strategy-backtesting tool.

OmniCharting started as a simple question: how would this trading idea actually have performed? Answering it usually means a spreadsheet or a Python notebook. We wanted anyone — not just programmers — to be able to chart a stock, describe a strategy in plain rules, and see an honest performance report in seconds.

What it does

OmniCharting lets you chart any ticker with 35+ technical indicators, build entry and exit rules visually (with AND/OR logic, thresholds, and layered take-profit / stop-loss), and backtest them against real historical data. Results include the metrics that actually matter — win rate, maximum drawdown, profit factor, Sharpe and Sortino, exposure — alongside buy-and-hold benchmarks, so you can tell a genuinely good strategy from a lucky one.

What it is not

OmniCharting is an educational and research tool. It does not provide financial advice, and a backtest is a hypothetical simulation of the past — it is not a prediction of future results. Always do your own research.

Who builds it

OmniCharting is built and maintained by xmark/builds. It's actively developed — free accounts now save your strategies to the cloud so you can pick them up on any device, with more analytics tools on the way.
